It really takes a lot over and I like being a lot more flexible with a theme. Any theme I use has a lot more flexibility and ease of use. Not K2, from my experience. The theme itself has great hooks, I have been able to get the appearance I want without modifying the original theme code, which makes upgrading a snap.
